To aid the evaluation of industry hazards and implementation of appropriate safety policies, the Occupational Safety & Health Administration (OSHA) requires all covered employees to prepare and maintain logs of all considerable work-related injuries and illnesses. The annual report for 2013 is due February 1st. Act promptly to maintain compliance and avoid potential citations.
Employers with more than 10 employees, not operating in a partially exempt industry, are required to record and post any work-related illnesses or deaths, using OSHA forms 300, 300A, and 301. Each of these forms is available here. Employers required to prepare these forms are also required to visibly post form 300A in a work area from February 1st through April 30th.
